DIET: (things I've eaten today)
Handful of almonds
piece of pepper Jack cheese
half a grapefruit plus another couple bites of grapefruit (I tried to eat the whole thing, but dang that stuff is nasty.)
another handful of almonds
slim fast snack bar (100 calories)
tofu mushroom melt
corn chips and salsa
EXERCISE:
17 minutes qi gong
15 minutes walking dog
1 hour zumba
1 hour teaching kids yoga (lots of running and jumping - it totally counts as exercise)
1 hour teaching adult yoga (less exercise, but should still count for something, I think)
You have some great willpower to be able to keep your calories down so low!
ReplyDeleteYou are very active naturally which is super good!
Your dedication shows!
Here are some small things you can tweak to help you power up your game.....
I would recommend a heartier breakfast, if you don't like grapefruit, don't eat it silly, its not a magical food!!
Try an egg white omelet with spinach, mushrooms and a sprinkling of low fat cheese, have an orange if you need citrus. All that is more satisfying, provides you more energy and is enough calories to not push your body into starvation mode. Also vegetables should make up the bulk of your food for a day.
How many ounces of water did you drink today??
Down the road if you incorporate some strength training you will find that the more solid your muscles are the more calories you burn.
BTW:ONE corn chip has and much calories as 40 baby carrots.......eat more, just eat smart :)
Keep up the good work beautiful
Yeah, I tried the grapefruit because I was told they help you lose weight. Something about the potassium blah blah. I sip sparkling water throughout the day - I do the canned kind so I feel SORT of like I'm drinking soda haha.
